vine with long stems and oval leaves. It's not related to the common
potato.

It's native to Central America and the Pacific Islands.
 | BUYING AND STORAGE
|
Choose firm, well-shaped sweet potato with smooth
skin. Avoid bruises, cracked or soft areas. Store in a cool dark
area.
 | PREPARATION AND USE
|
Wash in cold water. There is no need to peel.
Bake whole or cut in half for stuffings, can be boil, mash or fried to make
chips. Use in sweets, soups, coleslaw and salads.
