Glossy yellow shaped fruit with five fins when cut it produce a star shape. Some variety could be greenish in colour and the flesh is translucent.

Originated in Malaysia and Indonesia. Now it is cultivated in South East Asia and Australia.

Look for firm fruit with a floral-fruity aroma. Ripe when it turns deep yellow. Avoid brownish fins top. Ripen at room temperature. Refrigerate when ripe and will keep for 2 weeks.

Rinse and cut off the corner fins and cut into thin slices. Can be eaten fresh in hand but preferable use with fruit salads and garnishes.
