Related to Silverbeet and Beetroot. Rich green
leaves with slightly crinkle fine stems. Texture and flavour are more
delicate than Silverbeet.
 | HISTORY AND ORIGIN
|
Originated in Asia or Iran. it was first recoded by
the Chinese in 647 AD and it's often confused as the Silverbeet.
 | BUYING AND STORAGE
|
Select clean fresh leaves with no signs of blemishes or
limpidness. Avoid sogginess leaves. Wrap in paper towels and
refrigerate for up to 3 days.
 | PREPARATION AND USE
|
Remove roots and stalks. Wash leaves and
slice. Can be use in stir-fry, steam, puree or salad.
