Rue is an attractive plant with a
bluish-green, lacy leaves, which magnified like the maidenhair fern that can
grow up to a metre tall. Its flowers are bright yellow with a tint of
green. Rue is a bitter herbs.

Rue is native in the southern Europe
and the Romans introduced this herb to England. How it got its name,
'the herb of grace' was because it was use in the church ceremonies.

Rue cannot be bought commercially fresh
or dried unless you can find it as a garden shrub in the nursery.
 | PREPARATION AND USE

In the ancient Rome, Rue was one of the
most important herbs as they used it as a medicinal herb. Some of the
Italians still use this fresh herb which have been finely chopped in their
salads, only a small quantity of it.
