Oregano can grow up to the height of
60cm tall. Oregano has one of the untidy, growing habit and firm,
pungent leaves.
 | HISTORY AND ORIGIN

During the Middle Ages time, Oregano
and marjoram were two of the most popular herbs that were used for cooking
and as medicine. The soldiers that was serving in other countries
during the World War II found the flavour of the Oregano so delicious that
they decided to used the herbs in their everyday cooking back home.
 | BUYING AND STORAGE

To have the maximum freshness of the
Oregano, it should be kept in the water and use within 5-6 days. Dried
Oregano can be bought and keep in airtight container for longer use as dried
Oregano pieces have more pungency than powder form.
 | PREPARATION AND USE

Oregano can be used in pizzas and pasta
as it has that lusty flavour. It can also be added into any tomato
dishes, potato, zucchini or pasta salads.
