Also call: African Borned Melon, African Cucumber.  

Look like a short oval cucumber covered with spikes on a yellow green skin.  Inside it has a refreshing lime green flesh and edible seeds similar to a cucumber.

Origin from Africa and now grown in the Australian desert.

Select firm good size fruit with undamaged skin.  Store in refrigerator and will last up to 1 week.

Rinse and cut into slices or cubes and use in salads, cold meat salad or fruit salad.  Can be used as puree or sauce.
