Choko has a pear shape, green vegetable that grows on the
vine. It has fine hair on the skin and tastes like zucchini when cooked.
From the same family as the pumpkin and cucumbers.

Originated in Tropical America, Mexico and West Indies.

Look for small, pear shape Chokos that are firm.
Refrigerate Chokos wrapped in plastic and will keep up to 2 weeks.
 | PREPARATION AND USE
|
Wash. Peel and cut in half. Bake, steam or microwave.
Apple-cucumber flavour. Use in soups, casseroles and desserts. Can be used
in chutney.
