Chickory has a large rosette of leaves usually has a
lighter green on the bottom and dark green on the top. The leaves have very
curly edges.

Originated in Southern Asia both Chickory and Witloof
belong to the same family.
 | BUYING AND STORAGE
|
Select crisp, fresh Chickory with no signs of wilting or
decay. Store in the refrigerate and will last up to 3 days. Soak Chickory
roots in a jar of water and will last longer.
 | PREPARATION AND USE
|
Remove core and wash thoroughly. Leaves should be torn
rather than cut. Use in salads, sandwiches, hamburgers and stir-fry.
