BUYING AND STORAGE
Choose firm, well-shaped Beetroots with deep colour and smooth skin. Refrigerate
in an open plastic bag. Will keep for up to 1 week.
PREPARATION AND USE
Scrub in cold water. Cook whole unpeeled. After cooking, peel and cut up. Use
Beetroots hot as a vegetable. Great for salad, or sweet and sour sauce and pickle. Leaves
can be used like Spinach.
NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION
Excellent source of folate but it's reduced when boiled.
